Keeping Boat Documentation in Turbulent Waters

Has something happened to put you in jeopardy of losing your vessel documentation status? Did something go awry and now you’re unsure how to set it right? Here at the Maritime Documentation Center, we can help. We’ve helped vessel owners just like you to make sure that they can legally use their vessel how they want. Just because something didn’t quite go correctly in terms of your boat documentation, that doesn’t mean the situation is irreparably broken. As with just about anything else related to vessel documentation, we can help.

Did You Miss Your Vessel Renewal Deadline?

You know when your vessel documentation renewal deadline is. Maybe you have a reminder, it marked on your calendar, that kind of thing. That said, it’s far easier than most people think to lose track of this, to end up missing the deadline after all. Should that be the case, all is not lost, not by a long shot. In that case, what you’re going to want to do is to opt for reinstatement. You can click on the appropriate form at our site and send that in. Remember, if you’re past the deadline, “renewal” is no longer an option. But, “reinstatement” is.

Have You Lost Your Certificate of Documentation?

A physical, actual Certificate of Documentation is necessary to be in compliance with the USCG. If you do not have that, then your vessel does not have documented vessel status. A picture of the certificate is not good enough, nor is a photocopy. Should your certificate become lost or even mutilated, we can help. At our site, you can opt to have a replacement sent to you. We can get that to you as quickly as possible. That way, you can always use your boat how you want while in compliance with the authorities.

Renewing Boat Documentation Easier

There’s an easy way to make sure that you do get next year’s vessel documentation renewal deadline, as well as the year after that, and even more. At our site, when you renew your documentation, you can choose to renew it for up to five years in advance. What happens then is that our professionals will renew it on your behalf, so that you don’t have to worry about it. That way, you’ll never have to deal with the potential of missing the deadline ever again. In fact, you can choose to do this from the very beginning when you file your initial boat documentation
